For the Birds

I encountered this group the other day. I thought they were street artists of sorts, but they told me they were members of "Flap Canada" (Fatal Light Awareness Program). They advocate making windows look like barriers in order to prevent birds from flying into them. In this case, they recently got permission from the university to make these library windows appear as a barrier. (As a bonus, it's a nice design, I think.)
What a wonderful thing to do. I agree it is a lovely design.

We use to do only one silhouette of a predator bird.
Great capture of those artists.

It is a lovely design. I’m just wondering though, there appears to be white peg board immediately behind these windows wouldn’t that be enough to make them look like a barrier?

@gardencat Hi Joanne. It's actually the stucco exterior of the building, but it's hard to figure that out from this shot.

Beautiful looking birch trees. fav.
I heard a bird hit our French doors a few days ago. Sometimes I hear a bird hit a window but they fly off again. Unfortunately this time one of my mourning doves did not make it. I had let Katniss out the door and then saw her playing with something. I made Katniss come back inside the house until my husband got home. It was the bird that hit the door and dropped to the ground. I was heartbroken and in tears. https://cowboystatedaily.com/2021/06/08/image-of-dove-appearing-to-grieve-over-death-of-mate-in-wyoming-goes-viral/
