@beryl Thank you, Beryl! How puzzling that butterflies have been absent from your buddleias. I know that other people from the UK have commented about seeing very few butterflies this summer. I wonder why. Perhaps because of all the rain you folks have been getting (?)
@kvphoto Hi KV. Yes, I'm really amazed to see how the butterflies flock to this bush! My partner and I actually live in a condo downtown, so we don't have a personal garden. But we are on the edge of the university campus, which has some great landscaping. This butterfly bush is on the university grounds (and part of the area with the waterfalls, which I have captured previously). I check it out regularly, and this summer the butterflies really seem to be attracted to it. :-) Any chance you could have a butterfly bush? Would it thrive in your area?
@365projectorgheatherb while I’d love to have a butterfly bush they get too large for my garden space… I might look for a dwarf version next spring… they are mighty pretty. Otherwise I might also look for another Carolina phlox.
@kvphoto I hadn't thought about their size, but they come in a dwarf version- that's interesting. Regardless, you get amazing butterfly captures, KV! I'm enjoying every single one of them!
