This is NOT rock but petrified wood probably kauri

Taken on the West Coast approximately 10ks north of Bayleys beach Dargaville
As it gets battered with the weather waves big pieces break off
I have posted another pic if you have time to look thanks
I read that this is not rock but it reminds me of the cocks carved out by the tides in the Bay of FundyPark in Canada.

Great capture. I certainly know where Dargaville is as our son was a Rotary Exchange student there in 2002 on a diary farm.
