Currently NZ ha a cyclone Gabriel over top half of North Island

So far we are safe and dry , did have power outage for 6 hrs yesterday unlike some other areas who remain without it.

Thanking you all for your kind words , we are absolutely fine in our little spot it’s been quite cold so have fire going that inturns also heats our water .
Late this afternoon the power went out again was reconnected at 11pm so quiet no TV or radio also it seems the cell tower had problems too couldn’t contact anyone , so hope family are ok too .
Other areas are getting a hammering.
My thoughts go out to them all
