A possum

Spotted this possum in roof rafters early last evening , they are a problem here in NZ, however in Australia are a protected species.
He has picked up a small cobweb on right eye .
Have never seen one in real life, would love to. Why are they a problem, destroy gardens?

@overalvandaan n one night 35 million possums chomp their way through nearly 12,000 tonnes of vegetation! Thats how many we have! No predators here as there are in Australia. They are noisy creatures and slide down roofs at night!

he's a cutie. I raised one from a tiny wee thing that had fallen from its mothers pouch till he was fully grown and then moved to a sanctuary.
