This is a portion of a bees-wax collage my daughter (Heather M/biggirlart here on 365) made for me a few years ago. It's full of sentiment and it was nice to take it off the wall and examine it closely again before photographing it.
Re: "Beeswax collage", the canvas is collaged with ephemera and then covered in melted beeswax for a lovely warm, muted appearence, I believe in the art world, this is refered to as "Encaustic".
I agree with Rochele I want to see the whole thing! You have taken such a great photo it has piqued my curiosity. What a talented daughter you have too!

I was so drawn to this pic off of the Popular Page (congrats!) and was delighted to discover it was yours, Louise! Even funnier is that I discovered that HeatherM/BiggirlArt is your daughter! I have been a follower of her photos and therefore shouldn't have been surprised to find out that she created such a beautiful piece! ;-)
