Ha ha! Neat photo! Thanks for the comment on my picture! BTW! Every time I see the little thumbnail of your picture, I think it's you in Football gear! Ha ha!
Lol, my cats think they can get away with this too, they think they can sneak up when we're "not looking" aha, but how can you say no to something so beautiful and cute like a kitty face! ;)
I simply adore this, Louise! Dill couldn't look more handsome!! Brilliant shot! ;-)
I want to write more, but I've had a long day. We drove almost the whole afternoon, tracking down the hardwood floor we wanted, plus Jeremy got the outside of the house painted today. The Missouri river is only 5 min. away from us, and there's lots of restaurants right on the riverfront. Once we move there, I'll share photos from the area ;-)
Good night ;-))
P.S. Tao says "Hi" to Dill. ;-) He's just getting his dinner - better late than never ;-)
LOL! This is SUCH a great shot! Dill seems to be wondering where his fellow diners are and when dinner will be served.
Thanks for the pep talk on my photo today. Sometimes looking at all the beautiful work here, it's hard to remember we all go through our down days. Tomorrow's always a good chance to try again! :-)
ahhhhhh these cats! as for my picture kerouac and neal are freedom and the lure of the open road....john lennon .....dreams.....and bud and lou are just fun! but if you look a little deeper they are all tragic in their own way.
Per Your Comment: Yes squirrels seem to be great models and they are very fun creatures I love watching them in my back yard. Thank you very much for your very kind compliments. Your cat looks very amused by the way. Great Capture
I'm sorry, did you say "white tie" or "white fur" required??? looks like you'll need to add one more place setting! love the mantel in the background...one of my favorite things to do is explore the room in shots like this.... :P
this pic made me LOL...what a perfect place for a kitty! And such a face! By the way...i've fallen behind on 365...just now responding to your comment. Now I have to put "Broadway Rhythm 1944" on my netflix list! Wild!
Table for two? He's very serious about his duties.
and yes, I do love the back and forth of the 365. I feel like I'm making friends. Wash U is right down the street. I work in Creve Coeur. Warrenton's just a click to the west.
Re: milkweed - I'd be more than happy to send you some seeds in the fall! I have some from last year that I overwintered in the fridge but they don't seem viable. You might want to plant swamp milkweed, which is not as invasive but really beautiful. I have that as well. Thank you!!
Really wanted to pop by and say ...well done on appearing on the Top 20 page! Wow! I still aspire with every shot to be on the popular page and must admit to being disappointed when I'm not but also I say...must try harder! I think over the past few months the bar has raised considerably. I'm not into photo editing so that makes it even harder sometimes. Now this new page has set new personal targets,,,so well done you, Louise!!
Do you know what growing zone you are in? They are just starting to make milkweed available for sale here in Michigan. It is considered a weed so it's hard to find places that sell weeds LOL. Look for a butterfly garden in your area and they should be able to tell you where you can get some, or they may offer you seeds or plants. I have a garden group and I often give some away to whoever is willing to grow it. I am not sure when you can plant there, or when the seed pods might develop. Ours don't come till fall.
yeah....i think we all need therapy. this site is addictive. i'm on it 24/7. meaning i leave the computer on all day on this site =) i just always look, even if i don't have enough time to comment because of the hectic schedule. i'm able to do it now because the kiddos are knocking themselves out with daddies' day crafts =)
Ha ha ha. Well it makes a lot more sense now! :-) I wish I had been a 365-er then. I so appreciate the comments you leave me! I would LOVE to have taken part in it!
sorry ... seems like I've been working on today's shot for HOURS (not really) and then I forgot to check color levels before posting! Apple ... hmmm ... really no comparison, is there? LOL! Come visit ...
Louise, your postcard arrived today and I want to thank you so much! It's just beautiful! You are such a dear to send it to me. I will hang it near my computer. And again, let me know if you ever need some milkweed seeds and I'd be happy to send them along. Thank you!
the table arrangement is so inviting...it looks cozy too..and with the company of this white fur snowy beauty..it will be a very nice dinner indeed...(with candlelight I think it's a dinner function..:-))..fave!
The look the Dill's face is: "I've been waiting here for 10 minutes. *You* are late. The dinner is cold now." narrows eyes, "You have ruined my dinner plans."
Haha this is adorable :) When I first brought home my car Garfield he would try to get onto the table too. But he stopped real quick when we started spraying him with water whenever he did, hehe.
Thanks Louise commenting my lantern pic. I will enjoy the games of this weekend, Japan tomorrow and Brazil on Sunday.
Yeah, the kitty is so pretty. I'm not surprised why your distinct neighbor likes your company, he knows well a lovely person you are! Have a nice weekend!
Thank you for your nice comment about my cat. I love cats they are my inspiration. I have a white cat too. I think they have the most wonderful personalities.
Louise I have a feeling from your last note, that you think my anniversary is June 19 but I have a whole month still to go. I will save your good wishes for the big day!
Whew...I am tired from scrolling down so far...that's what I get for not keeping up with my comments while away last week.
This is just the most precious shot...this cat looks like he would totally rule any roost he decides to set foot in. On the thumbnail I thought it was a statue...such perfect posture!
Last night I uploaded 8 photos...gosh it was so frustrating last week not being able to comment except from my phone which is less than ideal since it takes forever but mostly frustrating b/c I could not upload my pics....well, I will eventually catch up on things ...at least now I am on summer vacation!
@katswhiskers Thanks for giving me a reason to go back and relive some of the moments on my calendar! Yes, I laughed (and grabbed the camera!) when I saw this, too. It probably can only be appreciated by another cat lover!
@katswhiskers You've set the wheels in motion again after a long haitus! Thanks to you, I've had the first surge of inspiration in a long while to post something new...it'll be a chance to reconnect with the community, and maybe later I can catch up with all the missing gaps! Know that *you* were an inspiration!
beautiful cat and table setting, louise.
How cute! Perfect timing, and his face is just right. I love it!

Thanks for tipping me off to the monarch. I'm so glad that people think of me when they see one! I had seen it and become a follower right away.
Adding this as a favourite!
Well, I really, really like your caption! It made me smile. :)
And your table looks wonderful! :D
Yeah, the kitty is so pretty. I'm not surprised why your distinct neighbor likes your company, he knows well a lovely person you are! Have a nice weekend!
BTW - No, Richard did not make any comment about my holding the pic. Harrumph. :-)
adorable kitty! definitely a fav.
I wish to hug you kitty kitty :D
