Though it took me far more than a year to complete my first 365 days, I've been on site more frequently than not since I began. Though I added a couple of late-December fillers in '09, the first photo I posted was on January 1st, 2010. It was in front of my living room fireplace and I feel as though we've visited and come to know each other through sharing photos and stories ever since. Now, as I conclude the project, we're at my front door again, not to say good-bye, but to thank you for a delightful visit and ask that you come back again soon.
Though I didn't wind up creating a compact "365project" in the spirit it was intended, I didn't quit along the way. I can't say that I became a better photographer, but I became more focused and I have a journal of photos, captions and comments that I'll treasure as long as I can look back on them. What I loved most during this time was the community I came to know. I'm only sorry that when I look back through my list of followers, so many of them "graduated" before I did and haven't returned. I'm delighted that so many others have continued on, posting photos about daily lives that I've come to embrace as those of friends.
Thank you for caring about me and my story along the way; this time was filled with amazing highlights. As I love taking photographs and "365" is my favorite website, I'll linger awhile longer. There's much left to unfold, and I look forward to sharing my photo journal and seeing yours as well.

yay! it's a good feeling to post that 365th picture. I've just loved having your input on my pictures and likewise seeing all the marvelous places you've been to. Your humor and kindness reach so far and I for one am super grateful. I'm glad you're sticking around. I love that little "fix" I get when I see that Weezilou has been to see one of my pictures!
Louise, you were one of the first people to really comment on my photos when I started on my 365 journey. You've always been so supportive and kind to stop by. I've loved getting to know you through your captions and comments and consider you a friend who I hope to meet in person some day... you never know where life will take you. Bob and I may call you some day if we're in Nova Scotia and stop and have coffee with you and Ken. Wouldn't that be fun! Glad you'll still be stopping by once in awhile - I think you'll find it's hard to stop posting every day. I seem to be in the 'zone' and still posting as much as before. :))) Hugs to you and yours.

Congratulations Louise! It's been so nice to see you hanging around here again lately. I've mostly been "lurking" around here myself since I finished my project in March - only posting when I am inspired - but I still love to look at everyone's work. Don't be a stranger. Well Louise, I can definitely say, I agree 100% with what you said. This has to be one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time. I have really enjoyed following you and Ken as you traveled, and have appreciated your kind comments along the way. I have also enjoyed sharing in the delight of your first Grandbaby. As a Grandparent, that has to be a true highlight in life, and I know you are going to enjoy the journey as the little one grows. Looking forward to more photos.
Awww, congrats on finishing Louise! I have really enjoyed many of your pictures and sweet comments. I'm gonna miss seeing your pictures now that you are done.
I just am covered in goosebumps!! A big big hug to say congratulations. Everyone's journey is unique and special so who cares how you came to photo 365! I am so happy to see you are continuing I too love the community and group of friends I have found and would be lost without them so on I go.

Congratulations on reaching your 365 day! I think you are right about the best part of the project is in fact the community. I enjoy our times of sharing, but it's the learning from each other that has really helped me. You have taught me so much about the world and different lives...and I thank you for this. I will likely never get to visit some of the places that you have...but I have visited them with you. I thank you for this. I also thank you for you amazing support of me. I look forward to more lessons from you...and lastly, thank you for sharing postcrossing on your project last July. I have started this and wow....it is an amazing project for me. Congrats on reaching 365...but that is just a number so I am happy to hear you will also be hanging around for awhile...today is day 167 of my year 2...this project and my dad's illness reminds me how we must make the best of each day we have...and I hope we both have many more to share with our family and friends. I look forward to our sharing many more photos and stories in the days to come. And finally, I want to thank you again for your many supportive comments and good wishes these past many months.
