The Folk Art Festival is one of the best attended art shows of the summer, and the most impossible to photograph well! There's hand-carved and brightly painted sculpture, bright paintings, gorgeous hooked rugs with whimsical designs, and brightly painted furniture. People (dealers from the states) start lining up an hour and a half before the doors open, and even with an entrance fee, they come in droves.
This was the least brightly colored item, but was a "not for sale" display of hundreds of hand-carved animals; the skill to do this was astounding! Just setting it up must have taken forever! It was impossible in the crowded conditions to show the table in its entirety, but I hope you can get the jist of it!
Those are amazing! What a fun art festival to go to. I never think to go them when they're held locally. Maybe I should consider going the next time one is held by the local University here.
