Not Just Another Rabbit on the Moon by Weezilou

Not Just Another Rabbit on the Moon

Easter Sunset 7:18 PM... I took a short walk to the most convenient viewing point and encountered a student also watching the sunset. He had very quiet music playing, and it lent itself to the tranquil setting which stretched across a deep ravine to the next tree-topped hillside. Liking the effects I was getting last night, I pushed a bit further and caught what looks, to me, like a Japanese screen. I have so many photo choices today, but I'm also capturing images I've never thought to photograph before, which is why I'm putting them in my photo journal.

Once again, I tried to reset the levels, but liked this better. I did, though, use the options under "Curves", having just learned about that in a very recent thread. Thanks to all the helpful and encouraging members and my followers here on 365!

Beautiful! Shooting things that you never considered before is a 365 phenomenon, I think. And it signifies growth as a photographer.

That is just the neatest, how the trees really only show up against the moon. Very creative capture. Enjoyed reading about the evening's progression as well.

@lyndemc Thanks, Denise! That's actually at sunset...and I was amazed at how the surrounding corona showed up! (I was most appreciative for the appropriately-placed camera-supporting fence post!)

Ooops... replace 'moon' with 'sun' then please. :) Actually I knew that when looking at the pic but have no idea why I wrote moon.

@lyndemc haha...I was pretty sure that's what you meant...in the same way we look right at one of our children & call her by the other's name...
