First, Thank You all for the (surprising to me) response to the gardenia I posted for my first study of Golden Light. I actually grew to like it, too, so thank you for helping me to see why I should.
Trying to capture "Golden Hour" photos within the confines of my yard might provide an excellent learning experience, but I'm ready to move on beyond floral images which will mean heading out on the freeways at rush hour! At the last minute of my hour, I was looking for anything that would capture light, at which time a duck swooped over my head and into the pool! The water movement provided a nice texture and sparkle. I was so focused on this tiny orchid plant and the sun rays above, I didn't see the duck heading to the food dish until I looked through my pictures this evening.
For all the little elements here that I do like, I had to select this rather innocuous photo. (With about 200 more choices, I'll perhaps post a couple more later...)
Morning Sunlight — the magic ingredient for a wonderful picture. Okay, and having a duck in there too really helps. Love the bursts of light both in the sky and on the water.
I'll email you more photos...and I took pictures of bonsai plants for sale at the farmer's market this morning...they're so "precious"/beautiful!
@scarybird I find that link is two hours off...but it's consistent! I can work with that! (It does contain some fun information...)
