You'd think I have nothing better to do this morning... I came across a CD of images from trips we took back in 2000, and I laughed at myself to see that I always invited the animals around... Above, a neighbourhood cat entertained us in a rental in the little town of Mere in the south of England... and a seagull shared breakfast with us at a hotel in San Diego. It seems in my nature to find myself some animal companions wherever we travel.
What's changed dramatically is that these images were snagged from a video camera and are so tiny! I can only imagine how I'd record those vacations today! I've most decidedly "transitioned"!
It makes me happy to come across old photos and "remember when"...
This is wonderful, Louise! You and I must be out of the same mold. I am always attracting animals. Domesticated or wild! Even wild raccoons one time. We have photos of me feeding them on a lonely road somewhere in Wyoming, I think it was. And old photos? Aren't they incredible to go back and see -- chuckle, reminisce about, etc.?!
@aglennc Ha! Yes, kindred spirits indeed! When we had raccoon's in our yard here, I bought the Costco tray of shrimp and fed them from my hand! We get LOTS on our porch in Lunenburg, but have not hand fed them...just about everything BUT that! And the old photos...now I want to go through them all! It's always something at the last minute!
@ceilidh Yes! My life is so filled with them, I can hardly imagine *life* without them! @pyrrhula I'd forgotten about that darling cat in England! I'd hold food over his head and he'd dance for me! And that seagull...I've never forgotten him! Brazen as the day is long, in a split second, he gobbled down a bowl filled with balls of butter! Ken and I couldn't stop laughing and that memory still brings a smile to my face!
That is all of what keeps life fun and alive Louise. We are all a part of this world, and to share it and enjoy one another's company , I would have it no other way at all. You are a natural.
Dear Louise. Our dragon flies are same as yours. Sometimes, at early /begin off, sunshine, they sit still to warm up . That`s the time to catch them (if you`re lucky) Thank you for you comments and great supports.
Sometimes by private matters I can`t find words to express my feelings /thoughts and don`t be able to write what I like to say. And in a foreign language it`s even more worse. Please understand it`s not a matter of lack of interest . And sometimes I don`t quite understand the writing right
and don`t want to blunder/howler.
