This morning I commented on a purple door that was posted and found out that today is "purple day" on "Jul14words"... We've no shortage of purple around here! I fell in love with this "Purple House" and continue to maintain that outside color. Personally, I might not have taken the interior this far, but to strip all the paint would be quite expensive, so we just go with it...and it's grown on me... I recall scuttlebutt around town that people were saying "everything" inside was purple... Well...almost...!

Over the winter, while we were away, we had several rooms painted, and it wasn't until I looked at this older picture, I realized we'd changed the wall colour! I don't actually remember asking that the stairway and hall be painted purple, but, well...why not? "Eccentric" and all that!
@pyrrhula You can believe me when I say I would NEVER have painted a nice wood floor in an old home! When we had the (purple) paint removed in the kitchen and downstairs bath, there were layers of black, green and (horrors...worst of all!) a dense salmon-coral-pink! WHAT were all those people thinking?!
@aglennc Thanks, Anita...but I have to chuckle...there aren't a lot of ways to photograph this, so I went with the obvious... I'm glad the purple came up absolutely true to the hue!
