When we're home, Ken keeps the cappuccino coming and I'm *oh so appreciative*! When we travel, we need to know where I'll get my morning coffee, and in Chicago, it's just four doors down... When Ken and I took Bodhi to the park this afternoon, we stopped in for a booster, and I loved the finely crafted design this charming barista had created :) ...and his great look was *oh so photographable"! I asked, he said yes, then he saw Bodhi & said, "I know you!" We introduced ourselves, and at a later date, I'll send Bodhi back with Mommy to present him with his picture.
I want to share this with Osia @panthora who understands the necessity of a personal barista!
Wonderful capture, love the beard and the pattern on the coffee. I have a flat white at my favourite coffee shot (like you I'm addicted). They put a leaf on it as a pattern.. I first had one in NZ and the pattern on my coffee today makes me think of the NZ silver fern leaf
Great image, I sported one like him Lou, the camera see in a different way to our eyes, can you see what I mean. he should have been standing not leaning over the counter towards you. fav.
Oh, my, I just saw this, and I am so glad you tagged me in it!! You do realize that we need to live next door to each other, don't you! ;-)) Yes, coffee is my addiction, and I so appreciate characters like him.... I am so glad that Ken indulges your cappuccino lust (and, slightly envious, too!), but I also want you to know that one of my best friends gave me a really special birthday gift, a Nespresso Citiz with milk frother, that I cannot wait to put to use when things settle around here! BTW, the baristas at the coffee houses we frequent remember what I like: as many espresso shots as possible, 0 or 2% milk, lots of foam, but very dry! Enjoy your new barista.....he is an artiste!!
Wonderful portrait! I'm so happy to know the subject will receive a copy!! I should start doing this, I've been thinking about tracing steps to offer captures of people... I should follow your lead!
@lisatown I left a photo with Heather for her to deliver...and I put this web site link on the back so he can see the lovely comments! It's funny/lovely how delighted people are to receive photos of themselves... And I often just ask if they want to give me their email addy and then I send the picture as time allows... As a photographer, it's a nice connection to make...go for it!
