Though I took dozens (and dozens) of pictures of champagne glasses by the fireside (oh so romantic!), all I got for the effort was warm champagne and many (many) out of focus photos.
After hitting delete (delete) again (and again) I was left with this little beauty that WAS of the dinner Ken prepared completely (while I was taking those mis-spent photos...) I don't really care that I've overdone the cliche star-filter...it was just the mood I wanted to capture.

@lookitsz Omg! What a delight to see you again! I LOVE Jan 1st when "everyone" returns! Will you be with us for awhile? Looking forward to following again! Happy New Year!
@anazad511 I had your photo in mind when I was trying to make a lovely New Year's Eve photo...I know where to find inspiration...just need to know where to find classes!
This is lovely, and that meal looks perfect! Ken and I will have to exchange recipes.....I made my roast leg of lamb for Christmas, too, it was delicious, and we are still eating it! And, yes, I prefer salads, and fish the rest of the time, too, but lamb is good for festive occasions.
This is simply magical, Louise! I love everything about this photo, beginning with your wonderful narrative and ending with the fabulous starburst sparkles! A warm, romantic, and fabulous way to usher in 2015! Happy New Year to you and yours!!
Okay, this is a total fav! I would say the same as I said with your other shot except with all that sparkle and the fire in the hearth, what a gorgeous setting.
