To those people who lack understanding as to what I do "with all those pictures", this is what occupied my time for a couple hours this afternoon... It actually didn't take all that long, but every photo here is a different one... It made me laugh as I was putting it together...a fair representation of Ashton wanting his dad and Papa to chase him! Just as I'm looking on here, I sat and observed, camera in hand, and now I have plenty to do to occupy my time!
By the way, when I make photo books, I just make my own page templates and upload them...none of the layout choices offered that aren't quite what I want...
PS..I haven't merged the layers yet... want to look at it again later and who knows how I might finish it!
@joysfocus Thanks, Joy...Except that it took a little time to gather the photos (which I had shot in bursts of 20), it wasn't difficult OR time consuming. IN Photoshop, Elizabeth, too, @redy4et I used the magnetic wand and in moments it neatly highlights the part you want to use. Under "select", choose modify (Ctr+F6)/"Feather",, and, depending on the size of the image you're crossing out, I used a number between about 2 (for a very small image) and 12 (for an image that filled about half the frame). This softens the edges... Copy/paste the cut out to a new frame, resize and then copy/paste to the project. The whole page took me about 2 hours. I don't know about how other programs work, but I'm sure there's something quite similar to this in them. (I ended up with 33 layers...a little frenetic, but it seems to me to be a good representation of the day!)
@flygirl@kerristephens@fjmom Thank you all. I was never into "scrapbooking", but loved to collage and do mixed media art, so this is about as much fun without all the glue and paper scraps!
@linah Thanks, Linda! It was good for me to post this and see it with "fresh eyes... I decided it needed to be grounded, and so, my finished pages for the book are here, where I moved some of the bits around a little to give "better" flow... All a little crazy-making, but it sure was fun! http://365project.org/Weezilou/so-many-choices/2015-03-23
