Yesterday, with our relatively small circle of 365 friends, we lingered long past lunchtime, waited until all others had long gone, and packed up to leave at 4PM. As we exited, a restaurant manager was at the door with boxes of left-over wedding cake, the wedding having taken place out on the lawn below. It was an amazing carrot cake with slathered cream cheese frosting, the pieces larger than pictured here (as I remembered to snap the photo before the evidence was gone!)

So, it begs the question, "What did YOU have for breakfast this morning"?
We came home with the entire bottom layer of wedding cake! :-0 Fortunately, my husband too it to work! This looks yummy.

I definitely didn't have anything that delicious for breakfast! You were in the right place at the right time, that's for sure. Very nice shot too :)

That looks yummy! How great you had the chance to bring home Wedding cake. Beats my simple old smoothie for breakfast. I especially like the cute "Hawaiian" couple kissing. ;)

Great capture! I'm also eating wedding cake left over, but not for breakfast! Can't even begin to explain what is in it, but it is decadent, 7 layers and weighed 12 kilos!! Photo will come soon :)

I never have breakfast. Two cups of black coffee will do. But I`m a late riser now I`m retired. Love the statue dolls.

Ooohhhh, I love carrot cake and this looks so moist and heavenly... had some on my birthday in February. I don't make it because I would eat the whole cake!

@eyesmile I'm so sorry the rest of us missed out on your recent visit! We'll try not to let that happen next time! Truly, this is a delightful group!

This was indeed an absolutely delicious cake, and it is now gone!! It was the perfect ending to that delightful afternoon that I spent with this very group of very special people

@panthora that wonderful ending lasted through two breakfasts... you know...that and the cappuccino... (but hey, you're a healthy eater...I noticed that... at least one of us should be :)

@pyrrhula @dailypix How fun that you two favourites of mine happened to notice the little kissing folk! A friend in Hawaii sent me those one year, and, at first I wasn't all that taken with them. But they've grown to become one of my favourite additions to a photo! Their mouths are magnets, so they seldom part!

@Weezilou That`s because I love kissing and to be kissed ( kidding) Lovely present
