As we waited for the cable ferry to cross the LaHave River, what fun that there should have been this 1955 beauty parked and waiting for the driver to return. The tone of the gravel blended right into the passing river and I wished a sailboat would glide by...I do see a speed boat across the way... Many people were boating this warm, sunny day.

I'm so happy again to have dozens of subjects to photograph in this my first day out and about! (I'll post 3 selections tonight in the order I took them...) And while we rode the ferry, we ran into one couple we met last year and a popular local singer I came to know better last year as well! Up here, it really IS a small world!

@chard It was actually you I had in mind as I took this photo. I know you love the old cars/trucks, and this one was gorgeous. And this is only one of about a dozen I took...I loved the color ("colour", now that I'm semi-Canadian for the summer!)

I seem to be a windbag of excuses, but, as time slips away, I had to come back by and thank everyone for seeing this to the popular page and for sending all the nice comments as our stay here got underway! We love seeing our friends again, and being welcomed like a seasonal bird come home to roost! I'm on the lookout for some varied subject matter to share with you all.
