Here is one of my two best excuses for not spending more time on this site at present! We haven't seen Bodhi since Christmas and we're enjoying his company immensely! For a "just three" year old, he has a fascinating array of interests, one being that he loves flowers. They're plentiful up here, so I'd already filled the house with vases-full. Last night he announced that he'd like to go cut more flowers, so we went to the garden of our friends, Billy & David who've been away for two months. Their beautiful garden is bursting, and here's a tiny fraction! Of course I took many photos as he selected what he wanted me to cut for him, but as we left, he asked me to take a photo of his flowers on the rock wall by the street. My daughter, Heather, laughed when he added, "I'll sit with them and you take a picture!" Her comment, "He's everything you always wanted in a grand child!"
I had nothing to do with this pose...this was the first I took and I loved it.
Tonight he asked if he could use my camera and he took pictures of some of the bouquets we made. He's one pretty cool little kid!
Oh my goodness, what a dolly of a child! I'd take a clone of him in an instant. What a sweet boy, appreciating the beauty of flowers, the joy of his grandma's company and the pleasure of capturing moments with a camera. I like this little guy!
@lyndemc Thank you, Denise...We all adore our grandkids, but as with my own daughters, they come with different personalities. This guy loves many of the things I love, which makes it a delight to sit and chat with him!
And he's definitely a model in the making :) What a beautiful photo and of course a perfect model with wonderful flowers! He must be such a delight to have around - enjoy! fav
How delightful to spend such a wonderful time with him. This is a great capture unfortunately my 3 year old granddaughters turn away a lot of the time from the camera although Leila loves to take pictures
@joysfocus Thank you so much for the notes and faves! EVERY summer is crazy busy like this! Having the kids here is *the best*! However, making "Louise & Ken Time" tomorrow when we go to see friends in the afternoon & we're going to a music venue Wed night with local friends. Beyond that, our evenings will likely be "in" babysitting while the kids go out! It's a wonderful summer so far with little rain! Glad your're getting it...so welcome, no doubt about it! ♥
What a wonderful child with such sensibilities....you must so enjoy your time with him! Love his pose and his soulful eyes....he does seem incredibly grown up for a three year old!! So happy to see you in your usual busy mode surrounded by friends and family at your favorite place!!
