What a Difference a Day Makes!

*This nearly +begs+ for a dozen different titles!*

Yesterday Francoise wrote about "...trying to deal with five bags of corn dumped unceremoniously in basement ..."

Ahem...

Still wishing you had that lovely view from our doorstep?! Still want to come visit me now that you know we have an Outhouse? haha!

I couldn't resist posting this photo I took only minutes ago! (...oh boy! I see I REALLY forgot to change the time on my camera! It was 9:30ish) Today is the opening of "Folk Harbour Festival", perhaps Lunenburg's best attended musical venue with a wealth of good performers. I have to note that in our 14 years here, this is ALWAYS a gloriously beautiful weather-weekend! The gods do seem to smile on this event!

So also in this park across the street is a bandstand, and all weekend there will be a rotation of every performer offering a free sampler there. So not only do we get a beautiful sunset view across the harbour, we can listen to the music wafting across the park, ...

...and we'll try to *appreciate* this additional new bathroom for when we have company ; )

(Seriously, thank you for every sweet comment you take the time to leave! I was blown away that my "slap-dashed" photo went to the PP with all your kindness! If I haven't thanked each of you, I've been writing copious "email" over on the thread I started re: commiserating! ♥ )
@francoise You may find my nod at your note to be funny in light of this event taking place "in MY front yard"!

Fun shot. The festival sounds like a great one

Enjoy the festival and facilities are necessary, even in front of a house

Well, who knows when you /me/we might need one! You're making me smile.

@ceilidh haha! I told Ken I could put a note on that door offering an upscale bathroom with mini-home tour for a buck fifty! (I could use it to make more meringues and pralines for the Kitchen parties! Always full of grandiose ideas!)

Coming in or Going out? LOL LOL I grew up with an out house!!! Had it until I turned 13 yrs. old!!! Ours was a two seater!!! We were high class!! LOL Wasn't that long ago I took almost the same photo at the farm!!! Whenever they have a show they bring in about a dozen outhouses on a truck and it always makes me laugh when they go by our house!! This one gave me a good chuckle too!! Always nice to have an extra bathroom in case of company!! FAV!!

Didn't know they still had public phone booths.

@joysfocus ...obviously presenting yourself as the cosmopolitan Big City Sophisticated lady that you are... To you I'd give a ticket to come inside to use "the proper" facilities! (You're always such a cut-up within your beautiful facade!)

I saw the picture and thought - what was she thinking. Then I said read the story. And of course all was revealed. Now I'm thinking you must be close to the action if you have a outhouse on your street.

@joansmor LOL! Read your note to Ken and we both had a laugh! Yes, the bandstand is "just over the way" and the music comes wafting through the open window. Much of it has been lovely, but a couple performers haven't stood up well to Ken's and my critique. At least we haven't spent a penny on it...

Oh, how nice, your very own personal, portable outdoor bathroom!! Yes, it is nice to have the venues come to you as opposed to driving to them, trying to find a place to park, and dealing with the crowds!!

It's a good thing I saw that hose there!!

@panthora I sit working (?) by the open window and when I hear I set I particularly like, I just walk over for that half hour... (And I have a No Parking sign in front of our steps. I was only blocked in once, and since I made a sign, it hasn't happened since!)
