This morning we went to the beach for brunch at Duke's before Ashley & the kids had to leave for home. It was an amazingly cloudless day with people filling the pier to catch a glimpse of the televised Beach Volleyball Tournament taking place below. I took a few photos of the scene and some of the people to share with my friends up north, so different from the change of seasons that will greet us upon our return! As this couple strolled by below, I thought they made a nice looking silhouette (as in shape and form). What a surprise to see it on the screen tonight, a somewhat demure (by today's [beach] standards) Gidget and Moondoggie, complete with ukulele! You don't have to agree, but I just love the look of this adorable couple, fit, tan and tattoo-free. I did nothing but adjust the levels and curves of this image...they certainly don't need *my* help!
Holy cow! So you're saying beautiful people actually DO walk around on California beaches playing adorable ukuleles?! That's not just something they make up for television?..... ;-)
yes! good looking and tattoo-free! what a nice sight to behold. the ukelele gives this photo a sense of the whimsical. because normally those hands would be holding a blackberry, an iPhone or some such things. there's still hope for the world then! alleluiah!

It isn't at all what I expected to capture...I was as surprised as anyone; they were just strolling along! And Vikki, it didn't' even hit me that there wasn't a self-centered cell phone in sight! THAT in and of itself makes this VERY unique! And Danette, wouldn't it be fun to see what a strolling couple on the east coast would look like! Thanks for enjoying this photo with me... Thanks, ladies! This was the "California Dreamin'" of my highschool years, landlocked in the Tucson, Arizona desert! Personally, I'm thrilled to see there's still a breath of those days left!
The true "beautiful people"!! They are such a cute couple and really look like they enjoy each other's company!! Brings you back to a more innocent time doesn't it? Moondoggie is really a hunk and Gidget looks so innocent!!! I just love this!! FAV! Great eye to see and capture them!!
