We stayed over with friends up near Halifax, celebrated a couple birthdays (one being mine *again* actually!), went out for a quiet dinner and came back for some home made apple pie...
It was so good I had another slice with coffee for breakfast...
Love the dish. BTW I read a wonderful story to kindergarteners about a little girl who is sent to the corner store to get eggs for breakfast and she drops them trying to pick an apple for her Poppa from an old apple tree. Guess what the family has for breakfast the next day! The book is called Down the Road.
It looks so tempting Louise! I love that you are still celebrating your birthday! Love the composition and great dof! Now I fancy coffee and Apple pie! Lol!
@novab haha...very observant you are! It"s a nice glass of red in a Nova Scotia crystal glass...I always get nervous when we use them! We were in Glen Arbour...you likely know where that is, but it wouldn't mean anything to anyone else. Our friends took us for a tour of the new library Saturday morning, and is it ever sensational! It was amazing! Must return...let's meet there one day! I'd love to introduce you to my friend!
We won't use crystal at our house, as we tend to break too many glasses and I have a rule that the glass is not supposed to cost more than the liquid it holds. LOL Yes, I know where you were, not far from me. :)
I'm thinking of heading to Peggy's Cove this morning before the rain to catch some amazing wave shots. enjoy your day!
@novab The waves will be a sensation!! You've got me thinking "Blue Rocks"... The wind has been astounding, but go while it's "warm" and not tomorrow! A drop of 25 degrees, Ken said!
Apples for breakfast! I can appreciate that! We have friends who own and operate an apple orchard in NS. Maybe those are their apples. Now wouldn't that just be the funnest. No, the funnest part is eating the pie! Everyone loves apple pie. I should make one this winter!
@chard Well thanks, but I've been milking this milestone birthday since June! My actual birthday was in August! These folks had been away in August and wanted to celebrate mine and friend, Harry's, while we were together! This may be my very last celebration this year!!!
I hope you had a great day "close to the city". :)

Can I`ve this last part of the apple pie ? It looks delicious.
