I recall that, a few years ago, someone suggested making .gif images that show some action (Mike @mikegifford, was that you?) (Another person who inspired me to try something new!) I've spent from early morning until mid afternoon collecting a number of photo stills and photo bursts with this most accommodating and congenial little thespian! Every time I stepped into the yard, she made her presence known...both she *and* her leading man! She once, even came by starts and pauses right up to my camera! This is not a shy bird!
I used the speed setting today and slowed the wings *a bit*. This was at 800 and later I kept upping the speed as far as 1300. I suppose I'll spend the rest of the afternoon seeing how those photos turned out!
Enjoy! I wanted you to see why I take so much pleasure in watching her!
28 Jan: I just heard yesterday from Ron @stray_shooter that there's a ETSOOI using "movement". Well, I DID alter the coloration of every one of the stills used to make this, and there's "movement" for sure...so, thanks, Ron, here's another entry!
This is so beautiful to watch Louise especially for me who has never seen one of these beautiful tiny birds. What a joy it must be for you to see this every day. Wonderful how you have put this together - thanks for sharing!! Huge Fav!
@pamknowler@brillomick Oh bless you both! I wondered if anyone would open this to watch! I used "Photoscape" and I'm pretty sure it's available for free on the web. I set up the tripod and just continued to take burst shots (9 at a time). And Pam, I figured everyone would have seen them on the web...I just wanted to share what I see in the back yard. Mike @mikegifford, I'll ask here if you were the person who suggested sharing gif images?
This is wonderful. I thought about your strange(for us in the UK) bird feeder in yesterdays shot as we only see solid feeders but now Isee you must have somesort of sweetened liquidin it for her. Thanks for giving us the video show
Love these little birds!
