Though Ken only occasionally takes a photo, and never writes the comments, he's my team mate 100%, helping me look for site locations and accompanying me on all shoots. He went to the 3rd floor balcony to photograph the view this afternoon & then returned with me to await the moon rise. Thinking we might encounter a security guard, we only found people there to clean offices, and I know where I'll return again in the future!
We watched the first glow as the moon began to ascend behind Saddleback Mountain, and captured the closeup on the mountain's rim against the orange moon. The wispy clouds made the closeups a bit distorted, and this, though dark, told best the view we had. Recently we shared photos of the region we call home, and I like to think this puts a pretty face on densely-populated Orange County California!
@deliad Thanks so much, Delia! I'm pleased with most of what I got tonight, and it was as though Ken and I had Front Row Seats to this beautiful event!
@nickspicsnz Never quite thought of it like that! I captured the colour the way it was; didn't play around with it. I read that this same moon, south of the equator, is your Harvest Moon!
A lovely match for your county name Louise. Looks like a great vantage point for photography. Yep, Harvest Moon it is round here. My late father, who served in the RAAF during WW2 used to call it a Bombers' Moon as did many airmen (no women at that time).
@golftragic A fascinating addition to the list of names! It's certainly understandable! On the night of a full moon, I love standing out in the back yard before bed as it's almost other worldly!
@bkbinthecity I know how you two work as a team as well...and how much that's appreciated!
@thresheg Thanks, Graham...there's always pleasure on the effort!
@gaylewood I'll pass that message to Ken! He really was a super helper on this one! Thanks so much!
@kevin365 Even after all these years, Yes :) Not "in", but traveling the same path, we share the same songs, so to speak ♥
