@stray_shooter One in the same... We're great buds : ) (I've rigged a "doorbell" of sorts to the marshmallow so I know when he's here...which is always between 9 & 10... funny, eh?!)
@aglennc haha! I knew I was setting myself up to have to explain to someone! I have a fist sized "jingle-bell"...put a long thin wire on it...wrap the end of the wire around a marshmallow that 's in a plate of food at the back door...close the door *almost* all the way...and I hear "Jingle Jingle Clunk" when he pulls the marshmallow off the wire ... Sort of like going fishing!!! I have a baby monitor, but left it in Lunenburg! That works great, too! OK, certifiably crazy, but I can live with that
@salza Go to the head of the class You've been paying attention ! (I was trying to get my photo and open the container of marshmallows at the same time!)
So lovey to see Marshmallow again!! What a clever boy he rings at the door for attention !! He will miss his night time treats when you go to Lunenburg!! Fav!!
That's a great shot of Marshmallow! I just love his "jingle-bell" alert system you set up. You mentioned you have house sitters when you're in Canada . . . do they continue feeding Marshmallow while you're away?
This is such a fun story to follow Louise - and I love that you have a little 'door bell'! What a fun visit to look forward to each night :) He's just adorable. He'll be using the guest bedroom at night before you know it ;)
@kerosene I always get such a kick out of your delightful comments! He's a cutie, and uses his little paws-that-are-so-hand-like to take the marshmallow from our fingers. Off he bounds to a short distance away to eat his little prize and then ambles back for another! I'm going to leave a comment next to let people know he'll be cared for after we leave... Thank you so much for coming by and taking the time to comment!

A couple of you have asked me already, so I'll let you know we have a man who moves into the house while we're away. He really loves all the animals. He was the one who told us two parents had been coming by with babies. We've seen three of the 4, and Marshmallow is a night-time regular and no more than 6 months old. The animals were cared for so well, and Greg checks in with us often if he has any questions. He's going to love knowing about the doorbell! FYI, Judith, the mama duck, arrives to eat ever night about 11, but only the males are around during the day. Everyone's waiting to see if she'll bring babies over to teach them to swim! If so, you'll be amongst the first to know! Thanks again!
@Weezilou So good to know that he'll be cared for even while you're away! :) I just love to read your comments about him, your writing exudes excitement!!!
Funny and cute.
