Carpe Diem ...

... those sunflowers flowers won't last forever!

...until I took the photo and had a bit of play time, I couldn't focus on my "actual homework" that needs to be completed & delivered!

Inspired by Van Gogh?! Gorgeous colour and I love the contrast with the blue vase Fav

@rosiekind Indeed! I thought that a couple of days ago, and a friend sat down across from it last night & said I had to save the image! Pretty glad I did...that was fun!

@seattlite Thanks so much, Gloria! Those blooms look like fluffy little teddy bears to me!

@summerfield Why thank you Mz V! Here it is \, almost 5 PM and I've barely worked on what I should today! If I work best under pressure, that might be between midnight and 4 AM!

They look so beautiful contrasting against that lovely blue!! Lovely capture - as you say you must save it or it is lost forever!! Fav!

This reminds of a painting by van Gogh - beautiful!

They are a really full flower with all those tiny petals! Must brighten up your corner so well!

I just love sunflowers, so bright and happy-looking. Must confess a tinge of sadness about them since the Russians shot down MH17 into a paddock of sunflowers with such a huge loss of life.

So fluffy! The colors are beautiful, as are the textures.

Beautiful shot. Those are fabulous colours. So summery.

@golftragic I do agree with you about sunflowers and the plane. It seemed such an ironic, if that's the right word, that all those images were in such a beautiful place. However Louise has certainly captured their beauty and sunny side here! :-)

@Cherrill Oh definitely. I love sunflowers and was surprised my mind flashed to MH17 when I saw Louise's lovely shot.

Super shot Louise, a different kind of sunflower for me, I'm not used to furry yellow centers on them! :)

Super shot of them! Beautiful yellow color but I also love the blue wall and vase! Excellent setup

@kerosene We "oldsters" buying them at the market say they look like little teddy bears! It's two young girls (6 & 9 about...) who sell them next to their parent's large vegetable stand. They're built like little fawns, and we all race over to buy their flowers! Will try to get a photo of them with their set-up tomorrow if they're not inundated with buyers!

@Weezilou oh how lovely to know! It would be fantastic if you could get a photo of the cuties... But just picture them in my head makes me smile!
