That's "Patsy" Cat, escorting her Person back to Dallas. Didn't I sit upright when Ken pointed out a cat across the aisle, not drugged, but happy to sit on Mom's lap. I asked for the photo to share as it's not every trip I get to see our littlest travelers. As we deplaned, I asked her name, and was also told she always traveled with them.
Don't anyone tell Tigger about his missed opportunity!
@Weezilou If I`ve to take her when I want the cat I accept. Ha ha. Now adays it`s very difficult. Many times when I travel by train, they all are busy with there smartphone`s
Wow! That's amazing! I think it's just perfect that you happened to be on a flight with a cat sitting up on her Mom's lap! Makes me smile just thinking about it! Peaceable Kingdom in the air! :-)
OMG, round here you'd be turfed off in an instant if you tried to board with an animal. Seeing animals in shops and on public transport in Europe was quite an eye-opener for me. Only guide-dogs get that privilege in Oz.
@lynnz@pamknowler@gilbertwood@littleconnie@louannwarren@radiogirl@casablanca@gaylewood@merrelyn@leananiemand@aglennc@golftragic Many US airlines will allow cats and small dogs (both in carriers) on with their owners in limited numbers and for a price. Last summer we'd thought about bringing home a cat we'd been caring for, and the ticket price was $75. I think they are "supposed" to remain in the carriers, but no one complained, and the cat was 100% well-behaved. When she wasn't on her mom's lap, she was curled up in the open carrier at her feet. I have friends who take their cat sailing on their boat, and the cat seems to love it, so why not plane travel, too?! ...It was interesting to hear from each of you as to what would or wouldn't be allowed around the world!
There is no way we would put our dogs in the "cargo" area of a plane, and they are just barely too big, at least Bradley -- not sure about Bailey -- to go under the seat. Besides, when we fly we are headed for a cruise or travel where they wouldn't work for us. However, they adore the car and motorhome travel. (Bradley has been in exactly half the US states as well as all the Maritime and Atlantic provinces, and the three most western provinces...... a well traveled little guy! Bailey has been in several states and two Canadian provinces, and they'll be back in Alberta in about two months!!) What papers would you have had to have to bring a kitty from Canada to the US? All we need to take our dogs across the border is their updated shot record -- and as many times as we have come and gone across the USCanada border with dogs -- we have NEVER been asked to show them..... But if we didn't have them........)
