One of my grandmothers lived in a small farm town with a lot of garden acreage that she tended. She frequently had newspaper clippings about her floral arrangements and ribbons that acknowledged her proficiency in arranging the blooms. As children, we loved those gardens, separated by grassy pathways, admired the iris and sat on small chairs, hidden in the asparagus fern.
Today, I'm the grandmother, and do love having flowers in the garden that Ken tends for me. Snip snip..."There!"
A beautiful arrangement and processing and I love your trip down memory lane, so nostalgic. I think our grandmothers gave us such lasting memories, lovely that you can start to do the same with your grandchildren.
Such beautiful tones in this image! Love your words and your processing giving us this wonderful bouquet! I don't remember my grandmother having a garden. I just remember going shopping with her and it would take forever as she seemed to know everyone and had to stand and talk to them all! It would take forever and I was always impatient to get going! Fav!
