...and we're back! We left the beach communities of sunny California to spend time with the grandkids en route to Lunenburg where it rained all day. Ken and I ran errands, having been told by my favourite neighbour that she was making us a seafood chowder for dinner! We sat down to this divine meal, chock-a-block full of scallops, haddock and salmon and rose, feeling sated and well-loved, so very happy to have settled back in!
Tomorrow is the Farmer's Market, a great place to see all my local friends again...not to mention stocking up on local taste treats.
A bit more settling back in and house guests arrive Tuesday. They've never been here, so it's always fun to share this marvelous province with newcomers who are also college friends of ours.
Thanks for the notes several of you sent me in my absence. I may not be on board daily, but I've missed taking part here and seeing what everyone's up to!
hmmmm..seafood chowder. i might make some on the weekend. want to come over? :-) i am having an "addiction" with clam meat for a while during the summer, then i got to taste a few bad ones so i'm off them now. back to scallops and shrimp and salmon.
this looks decadently delicious. must look for a recipe, or maybe i can just make up my own. aces on the presentation. so simple and yet the chowder shines through.
Great to see you back again Louise, I've missed you. This bowl of lusciousness is making me drool, just as well I've already eaten! Nothing better than a good chowder.
That chowder looks mouthwatering! Great food photo Louise you always have such good presentation! You said my favourite word - scallops! Lol! I can’t wait! Enjoy the Farmers market - lovely produce and meeting up with great friends - what better way to spend the morning! Lovely to see you back on 365!
Looks yummi. Bon appetit.
Great to have a comment and knowing you`re doing much to much and are well. I`ve missed you to but know there is a reason for it and I`m patient. Thanks
This does look delicious, Louise! Glad you are back in NS and getting ready for guests. I am still trying to locate that long email I sent to you...where oh where could it have gone?!? Crazy and mysterious!
