No time today to worry about this being a seasonal piece of art... I spent hours trying to dump a sufficient amount of photos that I don't need to save so that I could free up space on my drives. There came a point that I had to have some play time, so I started with posterizing the rabbit, placed it on an old diary I'd scanned back at home, and then decided it needed a full moon for balance.
Most interesting are those diary pages that can only be read with a great deal of difficulty! Back in 1867 the writer wasn't trying to be cryptic, but it was a common way to save paper!
If I had nothing more to do, I'd make these for hours! ...but back to work!
You certainly made the most of your “play time” Louise! This is wonderful! Love it! I made a photo book from some of my Nova Scotia images. I had until midnight to complete it so only used the 40 odd images I have processed. Managed to loose the book three times? Finally completed. I will have to do another one when I finally get them all processed!
@danette You are always SO sweet about the work I do! Thank you! I was about to get back to the job at hand and actually wondered if you'd come by...your presence tickles me and always makes me smile ♥
@pamknowler Thanks for your always-kind words about "my projects"! I'm delighted for you that you got a book designed! I have one "in the process"...a visit to Edith Wharton's home in Mass with Heather & Ken. My computer was beginning to choke, so I'm doing that and then will finish the book asap. It's all I have planned for the next few days! At last I'm seeing progress!
What a stunning image and wonderful idea. There seems to be a real artist at work here. Amazing that you have such an old diary of 1867. Who did it belong to? Fav
@ludwigsdiana Sad that I can't say this is a family piece; I purchased it on eBay when I was looking for anything with a lot of period handwriting. I had just this sort of thing in mind, but it's taken a long time to get around to it! Thanks for your approval!
@pyrrhula You express yourself 100% better than I possibly could in Dutch! I understand just fine! Since Pam went back to England, I've used every day to clean up unused files on my computer, and I've been able to make 4 books! (I even ordered 2 of one of them for my daughter for Christmas!) It just feels wonderful to not have so many lists of things to do now!
( I`ve a second hard disc for photographs and all I want to store.)
