A lovely pic.but be warned.
This was happen in a zoo in Rotterdam(Holland)
Attack on visitor
Bokito ( A male gorilla) came in the news on 18 May 2007 (on the day of the 150th anniversary of the zoo) when he escaped from his stay. He dragged a visitor along, who was seriously injured. The woman had several fractures, a shattered hand and more than a hundred bites all over her body. The woman thought she had a special relationship with the monkey, so she visited him four days a week and made frequent eye contact with him. This staring has probably led to the attack. From the hospital the woman reported according to a message in the Telegraaf"He is and will be my darling." Since he is in Blijdorp, I make contact with him, and when I put my hand on the glass he did the same, and when I laughed at him he laughed back ". A keeper of Blijdorp had warned the woman a few days before the attack and asked to keep his distance and not to look the monkey straight in the eye, according to a report in the Algemeen Dagblad . The woman nevertheless held the zoo responsible for the damage suffered.
@pyrrhula A shame that this incident marred the anniversary at the zoo! I blame the woman who should never have been staring at the gorilla...and on so many occasions! Clearly she had a mental problem, and a shame it damaged what might have been a wonderful occasion. She should have taken responsibility for her own actions! (The zoo in Chicago posts a sign asking people not to stare at the monkey's as they see that as a sign of aggression.)
@pyrrhula I’m sorry to hear of this tragic accident. Too often people project their feelings on animals despite what more experienced authorities try to tell them. I hope there is no punishment to the primate.
