Our handsome Master of Ceremonies announces it’s time for Miss Ducky to make her choice, and all gather round. Who will she choose? Stay tuned for the exciting finale!
Oh there he is beautiful boy trying to maintain some dignity at this event which is bound to degenerate into a wild party. I suspect both boys will be successful - such is the way of the world these days!! Fav for my beautiful boy!!
@pyrrhula hahaha Ferry!!! That's a good one! We have one cat that's new to the yard who will chase the ducks back into the pool, but after a while they learn it's a lot of trouble for nothing!
@pyrrhula FYI...It's been raining all day and the cat about whom I just wrote was running around the pool and slipped in! Fortunately we all saw it! John got scratched trying to pull it out, and Ken finally got it out with a net! Poor cat was soaking wet and may not consider looking at the pool ever again!
ALWAYS love your commentary on your pics. So funny! :) And many thanks for the 'welcome back'. We've had nothing but problems with our cottage builder now looking for other contractors and might have to sue him if things don't change very soon. Not a good start to 2017, hopefully things will turn out for the best in the near future. Don't need the builder issues when I have upcoming surgeries.
@gardenfolk We certainly are! My guy is laying across my lap even as I write! I never intended to have another house cat (we already have a 13 y-o, but he's proven himself to be an adoring kitty, and who could deny him! I'm sure your story is a similar one!
@Weezilou Our kitty was abandoned by a family that moved away. She came to us looking for shelter by sneaking into our garage on a stormy night, 3-12-16. Two weeks later, we realized she was pregnant, did not have a loving family and she brought us one of her kittens. We took them in and cared for them for the next 3 months. I did not intend to keep either as I had grown up very allergic to cats. We found homes for both however the family that took the mother cat did not work out. I missed her terribly and we got her back to keep! I was no longer allergic and she gets along great with our 5lb teacup black schnauzer. I am madly in LOVE with my fur babies!
@gardenfolk You're a good-hearted soul! A nearly identical story of abandonment happened to our neighbors across the street. After the cat appeared in out cul-de-sac, she gave birth within the week. She was well-cared for upon arrival, and the neighbor kep Mama and two of the babies. Our grandson took one of the kittens as well. They all got homes, but it's beyond me how people can "dump" animals for ANY reason! I've never had an opportunity to get "that Maine Coon cat" or "Birman" or "Ragdoll"... I take in the castoffs, and couldn't ask for better companions! I'm just delighted for you that you outgrew the allergies! To this day I find I'm allergic to some cats and not at all to others, but it doesn't stop me from adoring them...there's Kleenex for that!
@Weezilou Hi Louise...I guess I am not completely sure if I have outgrown my allergy to all cats. Katniss is a Maine Coon Tabby and I am fine with her. Growing up cats made me feel so sick that I had to keep my distance but I love animals so I had horses, dogs, hamsters and rabbits instead. So...my first kitty at age 60...a new experience and so much fun!
