My son-in-law just shared a nice moment with me as he walked by and said he really liked this. He said it had a nice "tribal vibe" and he'd use it for an album cover! He's a percussionist who has made some CDs, so I told him I had files and files of images if he wished to go digging!
If it's good enough for John, perhaps you'll like it as well.
I love this Louise! The processing is divine with the various colors and shading in the waves! Plus, the red, brown and greenish tones on the sand. And the position of the child and big stick is very tribal or Hawaiian. A big big FAVorite!!!
Amazing in every way, Louise! The colors and whole mood of the picture are so dramatic! "His mother and father had been gone for days, maybe weeks now. He remembered the leader instructing him on making fire with two sticks. If he could get a big enough fire with enough smoke, maybe his parents would see it and come back to him."
I do like it. It has a very tropical feel. BTW, after 3 days at Band Camp, Maddie has decided percussion is what really interests her. She said she will finish out the week and has enjoyed making new friends, but the instructor told her her mouth is better formed for brass than flute and she figured to avoid the whole thing and go with percussion. Never a dull moment with Maddie. She did get Flutist of the Day for her good attitude so, she will be finishing the week with good memories if not the ability to blow a pure note!
