I like the idea of these coloured stars as bokeh - they are lovely. Can I suggest moving your subject further forward so your depth of field is shallower. This will blur the coloured lights more and increase the "bokeh" effect. If think you have a good lens for this experiment (the 50mm as per the exif info). Hope you don't mind the suggestion :-)

Suggestions are always welcome and appreciated. In this case, however, the depth of field was very shallow. I used a star cutout filter to get the shape of the bokeh.
