Smoke devil

This is my first attempt at a smoke shot. Not very happy with the result but this will have to do for now as I ran out of incense. May give it another shot later in the week if I get time from packing.
Wasn't happy with a normal shot so played around with photomerge again.
This is a respone to @summerfield who set me a get pushed challenge to 'i would like you to take a tight spiral smoke shot'.
Couldn't wait to do a better shot as will be travelling by the weekend.

Lovely pattern in the smoke. Do you need more light on the smoke? I have not tried this yet, but I imagine it is quite tricky in regards to lighting it properly. Did you see the tutorial on it that was posted here recently?

@stuckinoz I was using a speed light but next time, i'll put the speed light on the side and use on camera flash as well.

ah, here's the smoke. not what i expected, but you got an interesting result. i love those scrolls and the mirror image made the shot more interesting. however, seeing you are getting ready to travel, it'll do for now. i'm not hard to please. :-)

Haha, she set me smoke a few weeks back, i tried it again on the weekend and had much better success :) i like what you have done on the processing here
