Water snake by abhijit

Water snake

Had been a while since I played with water so had another go today. Still unable to get that elusive colliding drops shot. Will keep trying
Jo
It's a very cool shot. Can't wait to see your colliding water shot, am sure your patience will pay off.

I like what you did get here.
And I hear your pain when it is something else that you are trying to achieve and it eludes you. But what fun practicing and this is so cool.

It might not be what your were aiming for but it's a super image nonetheless! I love the crispness of the reflection in the water droplet against the out of focus background!

So very cool and surreal!
March 18th, 2013
Coolest waterdrop photo I've ever seen! FAV
March 19th, 2013
Cool. Great clarity. What do you use for lighting? Do you have an off camera flash or is this with your in-camera flash?
March 19th, 2013
Totally amazing.... instant fav ♥
March 19th, 2013
@stuckinoz I do have an off camera flash but it can't keep up with the shooting speed. I use high speed shooting and the off camera only fires every 3-4 shots. It does give a cool effect but the drops weren't any good.
I use on camera flash at about 1/8 power so it fires rapidly
March 19th, 2013
@northy No special trigger thingies. Just plain old timing with one hand while dropping drops with the other hand
March 19th, 2013
Wow. Fav.
March 20th, 2013
The bubbles in the water look pretty cool as well as the focus background. This is definitely on my list.
March 20th, 2013
