I'm not a morning person so it was big effort to wake up at 4 am and go for a beach sunrise. The sunrise wasn't spectacular but I learnt a few things for next time.
I did that a while ago too from a get pushed challenge (but it was a Chicago early spring - it looks like you are a bit warmer ;) ), and thought originally how unremarkable the sunrise was on that day. What I really like about yours is the warmth cast on the sand at the forefront. The shade are really a great contrast of warm and cool.
Very pretty and worth getting up early Lovely sunburst and composition. I always get up early when on holiday to take these kinds of photographs. Here is one I took last year in Tulum: http://365project.org/soboy5/365/2012-06-24
Absolutely stunning mate! You should be proud of this... and the 4am start.. I applaud your commitment! lol... I am not so sure you would catch me up at that time! =P
Hi - very excited to be your get-pushed partner (only my second get-pushed challenge). I've just looked at your photography and it's absolutely fabulous - love your get-pushed from last week. Will think of something for tomorrow.
That glistening sand with the sun tones on it leading us right into the picture is just beautiful! Gorgeous shot. 4am!! You are very keen, but I bet you enjoyed the solitude.
I love the movement in the waves and the colored reflecions on the water. And of course your nice comp with the sun in the middle of those nice clouds to the right and rocks to the left. Very brave of you to get up this early. Worth while!
My favourite time of the day. Love sneaking out of the appartment without waking anyone up and driving in the dark and setting up waiting for the colour to come into the sky. This is beautiful btw :)
A beautiful sunrise! It is worth for getting up so early! It is still difficult for me even to imagine waking up so early, but your shot is a good motivation!
oh so beautiful with that sun flare especially and the light it casts straight out of the water. really cool that you made the EFFORT to do something out of your comfort zone (rising at 4). i think it was definitely worth it!
share, because i'm planning on waking up before dawn and walking down to the beaches. oh, just thinking about it makes my old bones creak in anticipation of the pain. :-) what is your beef with this, this is spectacular!
thanks everyone. for the first 10 minutes of waking up i repeatedly asked myself why i was doing it :-)
