I like the simplicity of this shot. You have obeyed a number of composition rules. Figures always give visual weight, so in large view such as this the fact the figure is central is less important than being on the thirds, also the positioning creates tranquility by it's symmetry. Plus the visual weight of the dark base takes a third of the subject area.
