Low mist has enveloped downtown Vancouver for most of the day, bringing with it an unusual stillness to the water in Vancouver Harbour. I took a trip out earlier to capture the morning sun as it lit the seaplanes down near the Vancouver Convention Centre, with the mist visible over the hills of North Vancouver in the distance.
I used my 10-stop ND filter to extend the shutter speed to 25 seconds and smooth out the water even more, showing the reflections of the seaplanes almost as if they are on ice. A high key black and white conversion seemed to work well to convey the tranquility of this scene.
Thanks for all the awesome comments and faves on my recent photos!

Georgeous! Your reflections in these are freaking me out ( in a good way) I assumed reflections would blur like the water, but they get sharp. It don't seem right! :-)
