The Olympic Cauldron in Vancouver was lit at 6:00pm last night to celebrate the Canadian athletes Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse, who won the gold medal in the two-women bobsleigh event earlier in the day.
It will be lit again tonight from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, to celebrate Canada's double gold medal win today in women's curling and hockey.

I didn't realize that Vancouver had maintained this as a park/sculpture, etc. What a wonderful way to honor your athletes and give photographers such a great photo op. The details and lighting in this are, as always, fantastic.
I wish it was our ladies that won these events, but I am glad that since of couldn't be them that it was our Canadian friends who pulled it off! Congratulations on your two gold medals!
