As the rain beats against the windows, it seems hard to believe that this was only taken on Tuesday night, but as is often the case, the rain was preceded by a stunning sunset.
Once again I found myself in West Vancouver, looking towards the sunset, although at this time of year it is setting behind the islands. I particularly liked this seaweed-covered rock, and the textures and colours it produced. To get this viewpoint involved a rather slippery climb over some other rocks.
In the distance is Bowen Island on the left, with Gambier Island to the right and the mountains of the Sunshine Coast in the distance. As usual at sunset, I used a 3-stop graduated ND filter to control the brightness in the sky.
