you can see a bit of my reflection in the coffee, and I find the snow in the top left corner distracting, Also where should the line from the boards be? more of a diagonal or perhaps a complete vertical.....

Very nice reflection ..... I don't really do food shots, so I'm probably not much help with critiquing. I did notice, though, that if you diagonal the board line, that would create more of a horizontal reflective branch line and I like the diagonal reflected branch line, so I'm not sure .... I might have turned the cup so the cup handle wasn't perpendicular to the table line. Maybe had that on a diagonal that followed through with the branch diagonal?
I agree with April on the cup handle. Snow is not necessary in the composition. Frame it different ways in viewfinder before shooting...I sometimes squint to bring my images into simple forms and it helps me compose. Great concept though. Keep up the good creativity!
