Weather Station Wine by ajisaac

Weather Station Wine

Just popped into the new M&S Food hall (that has recently opened) after work today and found this handsome offering.

I thought this fitted in well with the atrocious 'summer' weather we have had today (and yesterday and the day before and the day before that and the day before that...)

'The Weather Station' 2016 - Malbec - produced & bottled in South Africa.

Malbec was first planted in South Africa in the 1920s and it thrives in its sunny, dry Mediterranean-like climate.

Apparently Winemaker Leon Esterhuizen has selected the juiciest examples and married them with a touch of oak to produce this vibrant, purple wine. Best enjoyed when youthful it will keep for two years. (No chance of that!)
