neat view. consider trying a larger light source ... it'll soften the light, let it wrap around the fruit a little more, and the specular highlights won't be quite so intense.
Thanks all :) @Karla thanks for the tip - will see if I can find a way to get a different light source (it was just the normal flash on my average camera)
You can use all kinds of things to increase the relative size of an on camera flash ... one of the easiest being a piece of plain old printer paper. Searching on 'dyi flash diffuser for point and shoot' will come up with some other ideas.
Cool! WIll definitely give that a go next time the camera wants to flash at everything! I'll look up some more info too. I love this project - so many ways to learn and such nice people to learn from :)
