Taken while we were on holiday. To my eyes it was quite dark - light enough that I could make out the edges of the road, but that was about it (it was a full Moon). This long-ish exposure (I can't remember how long, but several seconds) blew me away; as an astronomer I know that Moonlight is just reflected Sunlight, but it never occurred to me that the sky could look blue at night... The pic was taken around 10:30pm at night (It's winter here, so it's fully dark by 6pm).

It's wonderful isn't it...I love taking pictures at night for that very reason, the colours are truly awesome and the sky is even more beautiful. This is a lovely shot.
