Today was my leaving party at work (even though I technically left on Friday, and officially leave at the end of Dec!). My boss organised a little elevenses party and many of my friends from across the uni came along. I wanted to enjoy the occasion, so didn't take my camera.
My wonderful colleagues put together and got me some amazing gifts - some Doctor Who bits and pieces, a pretty necklace, some science DVDs, a 'dinosaur egg' to excavate, and an iPig (a docking station/speakers for my iPod - which I had to try out immediately, as you can see :)
I've been so lucky to work with such amazing people, and I'm really sad to leave what was my dream job, but such is life...
On to the next adventure I say!! Such a nice good bye- and I certainly understand the sadness of leaving something you loved doing. But who knows, you may find something very similar to this job- or even better!
