Oranges - or are they greys? by alia_801

Oranges - or are they greys?

Hmmm, what does one call an orange that isn't orange? (Well, maybe tasty, because I ate them all...with help from the feathered ones :) )
Fantastic textures and they make a great abstract.

Great textures and lighting, here. Hope the girls haven't learnt any rude words.

Without the color stealing our attention, we can really appreciate the pattern and textures of each segment.

They are oranges with a lack of C vitamin, then they have turned grey ;)

Looks pretty tasty even in gray! Texture is the star of this shot- and because you're so close to the subject, not much negative space. That being said though, one could make a case for saying that the negative space is those segments that are in the shadow. And the ones in the light being the positive space. Good shot!

Great shot, Alia. Excellent detail and texture is brought out in this b&w. I would have eaten them all too. I love oranges (or in this case "greys").

Fabulous texture! I can tell it's an orange even without the color. Looks yummy!
