Witch's Ball by allie912

Witch's Ball

According to Wikipedia, The Witch's Ball actually originated among cultures where witches were considered a blessing and these witches would usually "enchant" the balls to enhance their potency against evils. This is one of several suspended in my kitchen window. Today, after several days of clouds and rain, the sun is finally out and seeing it shine through the glass is all the good fortune I need.
the color is exquisite!

Nice! How large are these balls and how many do you have? (Sorry, there was no PC way to ask that question.) Just wondering b/c I bet they do give off pretty colors /designs as the sun shines on them.

There are 4 in the window suspended at different heights. Each is the size of a large Christmas ornament.

Oh, Allison, this is funny!
I have 2 of them, as well..... One is in blues and purples and the other is in greens and yellows.
Though, I bought them in Ontario, made by a company called Kitras, They called them Friendship Balls. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendship_ball
( But I see at the bottom of the blurb, they reference Witches Balls, too )
I JUST love them, don't you?
