I have driven by this storefront on Broad Street for years. Taking part in this project gave me the incentive to stop and look more closely. A whole store of rims! I guess business is good since they are advertising for additional sales help. Two elements I especially like are the handprints on the empty frame and the missing hubcap at the bottom.
I like this too. When I first look at it I have the impression that someone has created a FLAG by using hubcaps.
I agree that the storeowner is being creative -- and so are you.
Great capture...and love the detail with the editing. Hub cap business has to be up because so few are buying cars...and it's cheaper to dress up an old one...or hunt down the missing hub cap. (Just my assumption...) thank you so much for you comment on my photo, Alison. Feel so lucky to have such a wonderful daughter!
Hint: For finding the rabbitt -- lower 1/4 of photo; but did you know you can make the photo larger and look for it?
If you use Ctrl and + after you have clicked on the photo, it zooms in. Do it again and it zooms even closer. To get back to smaller size click of Crt and - and you go back to the orginial smaller size.
Now I am sure you will find the rabbitt.
This reminds me of one of those "quilts" or old rugs that used to be made with decorative circles...I'm thinking "penny quilts"...probably should google it so I'm not sitting here making a fool of myself! Let it suffice to say I really like this! Now I can better understand why people like to have decorative rims; they're really quite lovely as a group!
This reminds me of a rim shop down by where I live except this owner is OCD compared to the owner of the one near me! Everything strewn everywhere! The black & white really completes this shot! Well done!
What a cool find. Love this shot -- especially the b&w. There's a dive bar not too far from us that is covered in hub caps. Wish I was brave enough to shoot it.
Love it!! I looked at it for ages taking notice of all the different types and intricacies of the hubcaps, great photo and the black and white sets it off perfectly!!!
you are right i can see them on the bottom of the shelve and also the missing one. interesting advertisement of the shop. once you see this you'll not forget it and therefore if in need you go there.

Thanks so much for your kind comment, you made me sweel with pride, nobody's ever been so nice!
