What can I say? The sign spoke to me. I tried some different effects on the picture but nothing was better than the strong graphics of the original design. So here it is for all you folks looking to quench your thirst. (Forecast in Richmond today 100+) Later note: It actually got to 102, breaking the previous record of 100 set in 1948.
Thanks for the comment, Allison...I clicked the shuffle button on the Pop page several times and never saw my photo...just as well...don't need to be known for my beer photo! lol
We only had temps as high as 96 today. Relatively cool compared to your 100+. LOL!! Major thunder boomers rolled through north and south of us but we were spared. As for Coke. I cannot remember the last time I had a cola beverage. On occasion I will have a Sprite or 7UP when out, but never a cola. I don't think it quenches thirst at all. Water is the best for quenching thirst. Second is beer. LOL!!
Funny, isn't it that I read Ray's comment, and I'm exactly the opposite. My beverage of choice is caffine free diet coke (which is probably expensive water with flavoring!) I drink it all day as a thirst quencher...love the fizzies! (and if offered Pepsi, "No thank you"...)
Love it! Coke is IT, baby! I actually don't drink it much anymore, and I agree with Ray that water is usually better for quenching thirst, but I discovered in Europe in August (hot, humid, STICKY) that when it is REALLLLLY HOT AND HUMID, I love Coca Cola to quench my thirst! Fortunately, I live in Southern California near the water, and we don't typically get that hot humid weather. (Today it was a gorgeous 68.) I hear people say "It's humid" out here and I laugh at them. I grew up in the MidWest....I know humid, and it is NOT humid here!
Oh, and by the way, thanks for your comment on my lillies. I too took SEVERAL pics, and that one was the only one like that, and it just stood out to me!
Thanks for your comment on my weeds!
wanted to let you know I found out the history of the building and added the info on my post if you're interested--thanks for the comment
